I had one in a pulling truck years ago. It worked well. I was running a Chevrolet 427 with about 600hp that turned 6800 rpm. I blew front axles and a pinion but never had a problem with the Tru Trac.

That looks a lot like a Gleason Torsen setup.

Opps...looks like it is not available for a Dana 70....haven't heard of a Gleason .....

Gleason Torsen is a worm and spur gear unit that always transfers power to the slower turning axle, allowing the faster turning axle free spin until the slower axle cates up to it. Very seamless power delivery, if you lift one wheel off the ground in a vehicle with that unit, the one on the ground will get the engine power and drive the vehicle instead of the wheel in the air getting the power.

I have this units in my Jeep as well as in my Dodge, all Axles, works flawless.

IMHO the best Locker for a Daily Driver, onroad and offroad.
