I've seen some discount fuel plates listed on ebay lately. WorksATV is the guy that has them for 75 bucks a piece and same as TST instead the plates arre bolted together and not silver soldered together like the tst ones. anyone have good luck with these or should i go with piers or tst?

thanks

erik

I have heard that they are not very good. do a search here and you should get some info. I guess the metal is soft and wears fast.

tst does the grinds and pier is an authoized reseller

there are bootleg plates on the market. Pick and choose

I think that is where I bought a #11 plate. It worked fine but not like it was supposed to. The profile of the plate was correct but it was cut too deep and so I shattered my stock clutch and cracked my stock turbo housing with a #11 plate. Then I just had to put in a HD clutch and a 0 plate and a bigger turbo and... :D... So that could be good or bad depending how you look at it. :-laf

I agree, not all plates are created equal. I personally would spend the money on a TST plate. They are under $200 now so it is not like we are talking about a ton of money.

I'm going to piggy back here! Why would you buy something that is not proven and has absolutely no customer support! If you buy from Piers or TST you will have them at your disposal. The plate is one thing but the setup and matching it with Gov springs, tuning the AFC ect is another..... a 12V can be a different animal.

This makes me want to buy the E-bay plate just to see how bad it is, or if it actually works. Post a picture and I'll tell you!

I bought a used #6 copy plate on eBay from a guy that advertised it as a used TST plate. He later stated he meant it was like a TST. It seems to work Ok but I only have the stock one to compare it to. I would not have bought it if I had known it was a copy but I already had it installed in the truck before I found out the TSTs were one piece and mine was not.

I have seen several of these and compaired them to the PDR plates and they don't match, and some are no where near the plate they are suposed to be.
