Buddy of mine (01 3500 4X4) installed tubular upper and lower control arms last night. He had to cut the eccentric/cam bolts as they were seized in the bushings. I've seen quite a few posts about the trials and trivialities of trying to get these bolts out and wonder if anyone has the OEM part number.

We found that NAPA had something that would probably work, but looking at what's on their site it would be preferable to have the OEM parts.

Just figured if someone out there was able to post the part number it might make it easier next time someone needed these blasted bolts.

Guess I was lucky when I did mine, a few whacks and they popped right out . . .

Thanks Kelly.

A suggestion to others whom are looking to change control arms. Make sure you can get the bolts out before you get started. If you can't then the part numbers are as Kelly posted above. Get the bolts - then go for it.

Just finished on a '98 today. What a PITA. I managed to save the eccentric bolts, but not the ones on the upper arms. Head bolts work good as replacements for those, though. You just need to shorten them a little. :D

Just did this very job in fact - and my 3-y-o did NOT learn any new words from Daddy!! passengers side nut was seized (cut off with a wheel) BUT driver's side shank was seized WITHIN the sleeze of the arm—cut the bolt shank between the axle bracket and sleeve and bent the bracket to pry the arm out. Unmounted arm from truck and beat the bolt into submission on a vice. MY BAD - I had not had this apart in a lonnngggg while for its obligate bath in nevr-seize. Now looking for a mounting clamp for nevr-seize can under the hood where it will be accessible…

Put new upper and lower control arms, sway bar links, 2 1/2 inch leveling kit on the front end, 3rd gen track bar, BD steering stablizer, and new 33 x 12. 50 16 BF Goodrich TA's and rims on the truck. This thing looks and drives incredible now. I love my Dodge again. Will post pictures soon. Thanks for the help big brother, Joe Mc.

Yo little bro, nice snaps!!! Truck looks awesome. Did you get a camera, or is it Gail's?

Glad to have a little bit of fun helping out, especially since I didn't hurt my old A_s this time, you're welcome my brother from another mother. Anytime.

Yea, Joe it's Gail's camera and she takes great pics. We took a small movie a MPG, on the way home after taking the pictures, but it's a little large to load up. Some great smoke pics on it. lol
