why is it that some codes don't show up in the odometer window? the dealers scan tool picked them up but the only code i could get was the p-1693 ---- p-done, but not the overheat or inj. pump timing failure that i was totally unaware of any ideas on what gives?? are these codes supposed to show??

input please.

Maybe DC only wants the more common, easily addressed codes to show?

Other, more complex codes - or ones related to tampering may be buried a bit deeper, where more sophisticated techs and equipment can see or erase them - that's ONE reason some of us have been pointing out the wasted time some BOMBERS spend in frantically disconnecting and covering up their warranty-endangering mods - seems MOST of the codes those mods set are eraseable and viewable only with pretty proprietary equipment and software - simply disconnecting batteries and other similar schemes just WON'T get the job done!;) :p :D
