ECM on 04 work on 05?

Hello to All

I need to find out if a ECM on a 2004 dodge will work on a 2005 dodge.



I know is sounds silly to detune an engine but my 2004 runs better than my 2005 (when there stock) any thoughts on this.

I doubt it. The 2005 uses the TIPM and the CM850 engine controller (I think). The 2004 uses the CM845 controller.

Plus the 2005 has an electronic wastegate. No controls for that on the 2004 ECM.

ok so what about a 2004. 5 ecm on a 2005 engine



i am looking for a way to turn off the third event on the fuel enjection. or is the 2004. 5 the same as the 2005 ecm.

may not be the same PN, but both are 600 engines [read: third event injection]

3rd injection event can't be turned off. Smarty can't even do it.
