I've been looking into buying the Cummins Quick Check II, and looking at the info on the Cummins website, it says that the Quick Check II uses a 6 pin plug that simply plugs directly into the ECM.

After finally locating the ECM on the driver's side of the engine, I am thoroughly confused as to where exactly on the ECM that

this plug plugs into. I don't see any empty slots for this "six pin" plug that they talk about.

Also, how am I supposed to get at the ECM? It seems like it is very difficult to access and the Cummins website says that the Quick Check II hookup takes less than 10 minutes. I don't see how this is possible unless I am missing something... ...

Any hints etc. would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

This probably uses the data link connector at the left/bottom of the instrument panel as you sit in the driver's seat. This looks like a good unit, however, it won't be able to clear fault codes.
