Ecm Reflash/Recall

O. K. people I really don"t mean to be stupid!! But here it goes , Just had the waterpump changed at my local dealership and the reflash recall was done. Now the smarty jr I have does not work. I was sure to return it back to stock but it still will not reload. Is this common and is there a way to fix this or am I out of luck. Any imput would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!!! P. S. The truck in Question is a 07 5. 9 2500.

Very simple,go to the Mads website and download the latest update.

What happened is that the Smarty was programmed before that factory update was written. So the Smarty can not recognize that software. The Smarty needs to be updated anytime a new factory software # is loaded in your truck.

I am very impressed on how fast the smarty updates are available after Dodge releases a new level.

To take it one step further for the guys who have not done the factory updates... ... ... update your smarty and then reload it in your truck and you will have the latest similiar to the oem.
