Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) ECM Reflash

FYI Had to replace my block heater cord today,the dealer is charging $38 so I called cummins and they had them in stock for $14. 10 ea and they were even kind enough to install it for free. While I was there talking to the tech he mentioned that if the engine hp could be uprated from stock then they would able to flash the ecm and replace it with the software for fire equipment and everything should be fine. He did know any numbers off the top of his head though. Has anyone ever heard of this or even tried it? Well try to get more info and will keep you all posted.
