is it me or do some of you notice that the ecm eventually picks up on the power adders we have, then we take them off trying to find out what is wrong, only to put it back on and all the power is back?

OT-OF-HERE!! said:Definitely you are right about the ECM. I have experienced that with vitually every dl I have used at one time or another. Sometimes just unloading and loading solves the problem and other times I'll drive the truck for a day,. . a week or whatever and all of a sudden the ECM decides to take the program and it runs like h... !
Diesel Power said:i agree that some need a seat adjustment but i think that the ecm really does more than we think it does i have been fighting a similar problem for months now. you have the PPE right, well that and the bully dog are all that i've had on my truck and well you get the picture

What exactly is your truck doing? No power or what?
RMalone said:These trucks seem to defy explanation at times. I STILL have my rail pressure issues, though in fairness I have not thrown any more money at it lately.
After two years with the audible seat belt alarm disabled the truck decided to reactivate the alarm. I have tried to deactivate the SOB about 10 times and it simply refuses to go away. Oh yeah, the grid heater isn't cycling at temps that would always trigger it in the past. I have had a week straight of below 60deg temps in the morning and not once has the grid heater cycled.
I guess I will have to trade it in on a bombed out Honda Civic. I wonder how I would look driving a ricer?? :-laf

man my truck is having a problem making power, it vibrates @ idle, knocking for the first 5 min after start up, ( like the fca is bad) no top end clean-up, no bottom end, throttle response is gone, i have power @ 1/4 throttle and thats it, thats how i ran @ the track a few weeks ago ran 12. 84, but not near what it should be. im lost here. no codes, did a reflash. :{
