ECM TSB done to enhance power in O.D.

Has anyone out there had the power enhancement TSB done on their 2001 Auto? I am getting ready to take my truck in for some warranty repair and wanted to pick anyones brains who had done this. I definately hear the difference in the turbo when in Drive(louder) than in O. D. at W. O. T. My truck is stock. Chris

I have seen posts from other folks that have had this done. Do a search using the TSB number and you should find them.



I also intend to have this done when I take her in for some other minor work.

Does anybody know what TSB number this is? The wifes truck needs this reflash done in a big way. Her OD just plain and simply sucks!!!! It seems like her OD is geared way to low for the truck.

Motorhead,



I had it done shortly after buying my truck. I wasn't able to really tell the difference, but I hadn't towed prior to the reflash. I just didn't like the idea of the software "torque managing the power output in OD".

Didn't seem to hurt anything though!

TSB18-24-00 is only meant for truck manufactured between Dec 1999 to Nov 2000 with engine serial number between 5666444 to 56798357

sometimes no reflash is the better than reflashing, look at the cold weather reflash what a joke



My truck falls in this TSB and I feel fine without it
