Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Ecm

I am swapping a auto to manual. Does the ECM have to be re-programed or changed to a manual ECM?

Wich truck? Your '94 doesnt have an ECM, and even if the PCM behind the air filter housing(or where the air box used to be if youve upgraded ) really cares about the transmission, thats a mechanical engine and, going from auto to manual should be gravy. The other way would need a TPS and probly a new PCM.



You can now throw away the kickdown linkage, and pretty sure even the tps.
