Seems that such a simple fix, keep the lifters from spinning in bore would be the first thing they would do to make these pumps last. When they work they work very well… When they don’t ….

Oh trust me, others like you, me, and many, many others are probably itching to find out what was changed.

Versus the rumor train...

I’m curious as I have a CP-4 in my F150. To date the failure rates in this application have been really low. My understanding is around 5 trucks have had failures since they were introduced in 2017. Granted not many F150’s were built. But it’s in the back of my mind…

You see, that's the odd thing with these CP4 pumps. Some applications are notorious for them blowing up and leaving a truck's injection system a complete mess, and some, well, they keep on choochin right along.

I wonder how many Cummins owners didn't want a dealer's grubby hands touching their truck for the recall for the CP4 to CP3 conversion?

I just saw a post by an Eco owner on another Ram forum who had his HPFP replaced said that in his addendum paper work that you can use up to B20 if its stated mandated like it is in the summer in MN, but when you do use B20 you have to shorten the fuel filter life to 8,000 miles or 6 months which ever comes first...

Thanks @06 Dodge for sharing the info! Kudos to you!

I figured out a way to post it... convert it to a picture.
