Does anyone make a decent torque converter that has a lower stall than stock that doesn't cost $1300? I can't afford that, but my converter does slip sometimes so I thought there might be one out there around the same cost as a stock replacement.

Summit Racing sell a TCI converter for the dodge cummins for $369. P/N is TCI-142260

Dave Goerand sell a single disk converter with lifttime warranty for $900 range.

DTT had a TC for about $900-$1000. www.dieseltrans.com I've also heard that the Goerend TC is very good.

Also, I've heard the TCI and the BD TC's aren't really that great. Better over stock, but you'd be better off paying the extra money and getting one that you know is going to work. Especially after doing all the work to replace it.
