Feels like the Edelbrock IAS shocks didn't fair so well on my Baja trip. The trip was 2K miles carrying a cabover with about 50 miles off road on the legendary Baja washboard roads (I use the word "road" loosely #ad
) The truck is starting to pogo stick over bumps now even when running unloaded. I'm trying to decide between Ranchos or Bilstines, I'm leaning toward the Ranchos cause I can tighten em up when I use the cabover camper and adjust the fronts to tame the mighty Cummins. Anyone tried the Bilstines carrying a cabover? Can I get away without rear air bags when hauling the cabover if I go with the Ranchos? Will the Ranchos set on #3 do much to keep the front end from bottoming? Any/all opinions welcomed #ad

I'm still happy with mine. They do open up and feel soft on rough roads. Mine will allow one bounce after a good dip or hump in the road. They seem to take speed bumps better at high speed than they do if I ease over them. They make a concrete highway feel worse and a horrible brick road feel smooth. It's hard to make a 3/4ton truck ride good but the Edelbrocks have made our trips alot better. Just my humble opinion...

INTERESTING - I have over 107,000 miles and 10 years on my OEM shocks on my Dodge - no sign of oil seepage, and while they do feel slightly looser, or softer than when new, thay are actually more comfortable for occupants NOW than when new! No excessive bouncing or tire wear noted - just a better ride, empty or loaded.

**** , what a truck... That's why I am resistant to buying a NEW one - not sure it could live up to what THIS one has/is delivering!

Total expense so far, exclusive of regular interval grease/oil/filters:

2 sets of tires
2 batteries
1 voltage regulator
1 serpentine belt (not really required, just seemed about time... )
