edge and smarty

hey guys i have an edge HOT and an mp-8 stack. i and wondering if anybody has any experience with an edge and smarty stack? i know that tst and smarty stack good together, i just dont know about the edge??

My budy has stacked his edge juice and smarty. Only problem he has is slipping his clutch. It is the stock one out of my truck.

i would think if you have an aftermarket tc you should be alright assuming you dont do any hi boost launches and what not... . thats what i am hoping anyways since all i did was the TC and VB

yea i hear ya . if i do any high boost launches all i do is spin and dont go anywhere so i just stick to regular launches. .

I haven't tried it personally, but if you search the boards you will find several reports of them not playing nice together. I have never heard of anybody that got it to work well. If it did work, I'd be quite interested in it myself.



Bob, has Marco done any recent SW updates that would make the Smarty and Hot Juice play nice?

well that sucks. i hope to later get a tst but that is much later. i have already tryed the bd dl and i didnt like it at all. the mp-8 is not bad it just doesnt give any mid to top end power. . it seems to give mostly low end. so i am just looking for somthing else and as of now it seems that the smarty is the best downloader on the market

I have thedge hot juice was thinking about the smarty stack but convicing myself out of it what would be some other combos that would work well how about a powermax cr49 with the mp8 and smarty withthe proper settings my truck is getting the new II dual feedcp3 like yesterday and need to get the right pwer stack to optimize all that fuel got the cam and the new turbo i think it is super phat shaft but i would have to double check ,100 hp injectors are installed and transmission is bullet proof built by scott hovey at massdiesel #1 in my book he did all my performance work from a-z just wanted to update the new mods that are avaiable what do u think any#@$%!

I emailed Edge asking them what the best downloader would be to stack with my Juice+EZ, and got the following response this morning:

Drury,

Honestly I can't say what would be the best stack from here... . I can tell you exactly what we are doing... . then you could base your next purchase off of that... . Our Juice and Attitude are advancing timing and increasing duration..... The EZ is simply pressure..... Honestly this is the ideal stack simply you don't really want to stack timing and timing or pressure and pressure..... I would exactly know where to tell you to go from here..... But your best bet is a pressure tune... . simply we don't push the pressure to the limit with the EZ..... I wish I had a better answer for you...

They're basically saying no downloader, but you might get a few more HP out of an MP8.

My experience with the Juice/Attitude and HOT Juice/Attitude is that they do not stack well with a downloader. Most of my testing was with a BDTD, but on my truck and configuration I would not think the Smarty or any other downloader would be better. The Juice/Attitude just does not have the flexibility or granularity to control the timing/duration enough to be able to make a good stack with a downloader. There were a couple of stack settings with the HOT Juice/EZ and BDTD that were very powerful, but not very street friendly on mine. Just my . 02.
