Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Edge Attitude ???

I just got and installed it. WOW I like. But when I try spooling up for a launch it won't let me. It just limits me to what feels like just under stock power until I start moving. It happens in all power levels. It won't spin tires or anyhting. Is it suppose to do that or is something wrong?

The Edge doesn't delete or alter torque management..... sounds like what you are experiencing.

Won't the Smarty, a Rad or a Bluechip box get rid of torque management?

I could spool up nicely before my new transmission. Hold the brake, run up to 1800 rpm, floor it the rest of the way, let go and hold on. I could leave some serious black marks that way! New torque converter and transmission only let me run up to about 1500 before I have to let it go.

It won't let me power brake. Is something wrong or is that how its suppose to be?

What year is your truck? I have no problems power braking my truck. You need to put up a signature with all of the info on your truck so we can get a better idea of what might be happening.

It is normal on our trucks with autos. You need a torque management removal device like a SMARTY to build unlimited boost with no wheel speed. Of course if you did you'd kill a stock auto in seconds:{

Its an 01. I had a sig with everything on it i dont know where it went. Yes my stock auto is really not liking life right now, but its soo fun. The trans is the next thing to do when i get the funds. It will do dry pavement donuts just wont rip them loose from the getgo.

Buy plenty of vaseline before you get your transmission, thats not included!!! :-laf
