I installed my new Edge Comp today (I did not pierce the pump wire yet) and have had some problems. Twice the box locked up and would not change settings or turn off. If I would shut the engin down and then restart it, then the box would work for a little while. The check engine lite came on the first time. I have the following codes:

0236

0238

1475

1693

I have looked up the codes but am not sure what they might mean, or how they might apply. It would appear according to the codes that there is a voltage (high) imput problem. Could this be a problem with the Comp box it's self?

Note this is a 2002, My sig is not yp to date.

Any help would be appreciated.

I think your comp has a problem. Disconect it for now and call Edge Monday. They will make it right for you. They have the best customer service I have ever seen.

Check the "24 Valve Engine and Transmission

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions (Members Only)" forum for your code definitions. The TDR admin has created a section in both of the 24v topic areas with important info like code definitions, and other procedures.

Thanks for the replys, I have disconect it for now and will contact Edge Monday. I left the batteries disconected this morning for about an hour after I disconected the box in hopes that the codes would reset, but they did not. Edge has a products fourm which I review last night, looks like this has happened before and the box needs to be sent in to Edge.

COMP BOX and DRAG up grade

I have the COMP BOX on my 2000 RAM ( with other mods)I have talked to some guy's up here in OR and they tell me that there is some up grade for the COMP BOX. Question is :) :-{}

"" HAS ANYONE ON THE FORUM DONE THIS UP GRADE AND WHAT DIFFERENCE CAN YOU TELL?

The upgrade is to the Drag version, which doesn't defuel at the top RPM's (over 2700 the regular version defuels). When I had mine upgraded it was $125, but they may have lowered the price by now.

Not sure it gives all that much more power, but definitely more heat! EGT's get out of control... they designed the regular one correctly for everyday driving w/ the defueling. As you can see below, Denis has the regular and I have the Drag. We swap on a regular basis to see how they run and neither of us has much EGT issues w/ the regular, but hold your foot in it w/ the Drag and your EGT's will go through the roof! Don't know that I'd do the upgrade again.

I recently upgraded to the drag version. I have had very positive results with my 6 speed. It doesn't fall on it's face when you over rev 2nd, 3rd, and 4th while pretending to be a drag racer. 5th and 6th definetely run hotter at the top end, but part of my heat issue is my turbo.

Matt

Thanks. I sortta felt that away but feel better now hearing from someone that has done it. I do have very good EGT now without any problem. Thanks again and hope to talk to you again. SAM
