OK you Edge Comp guru’s, here is a question for you.
There has been discussion about leaving the pump tap wire off when installing the Comp until drive train upgrades are made. Most everyone agrees that this would be OK. So what about putting a switch in the pump tap wire, essentially making or breaking the circuit- switch on, you have a fully functional Comp, switch off- you have the equivalent of an EZ.
Would this work? If it works, could the switch be “switched” with the key on and the engine running? Or would this damage the ECM. Maybe just switch with the key off.
Let me know what you think. I don’t want to get the “bad reputation” that the guy in Texas got for leaving his pump tap wire off!!!!!
(Sure hope he doesn’t feel obliged to drive CLEAR up here to Oregon to kick my hiney!
