For the second generation truck owners, MOST seem to be doing fine with the original version - and if that's all they want, expect, and are willing to settle for, GREAT! ;)

BUT, some guys have various problems and issues needing correction - and others keep looking for those advertised and promised "program upgrades" that seem to be purely "vaporware" at the moment, in spite of occasional promises that "something is in the works... "

I understand completely why you are:mad: I'm not saying that you shouldn't be, believe me. I sent emails to Bob Wagner & asked him in posts if he could help me get my ecm fixed with no reply back. I don't know why I get no reply, but I think it is because I've compared the quad Adrenaline & XZT+ to his Smarty in posts on here. I just give honest feedback. I am keeping Smarty around to clear codes. I am selling my Drag comp if anyone is interested.

I may sell the comp also after I see some dyno comparisons of the drag comp and quad adrenaline box on the same rig and same day. I need the real proof that it will do what is claimed before letting a comp go that has issues but has proven power. Does the quad 100% eliminate tq management on any settings? How does the forced high idle feature work?

There is a guy over on DTR that dynoed a Drag comp & got 542hp. He then swapped boxes & the Adrenaline got 541hp on the next run. It wasn't a competition program in the Adrenaline either, just a standard program. He ran the Adrenaline on PL10. Another guy dynoed his Adrenaline & found that PL7 & 8 added 30hp to his numbers over PL10. My Adrenaline definately feels as strong as my Drag/Smarty stack already & quad didn't even give any competition programs yet. The box does alter torque management, but I'm not sure if it deletes it 100% or not, although it feels exactly like my Smarty/Drag with spoolup etc. The high idle kicks on after 2 min. run time & can be deactivated by touching the brake pedal. The turbo timer is awesome & can be set at 20seconds or 2 minutes depending on the download that you choose.

Does the high idle feature run automatically no matter the temp or does it work like it normally would and only kick in at temps below 32 and only if the coolant temp is lower than 140.

I'm not sure what temps it kicks in... I'd have to ask. It was 66* here yesterday & it didn't idle up when I started it. I downloaded software yesterday & I could have never imagined it being so easy. I just hit download, plugged it in & the new software was installed in less than 10 seconds. No unzipping files or downloading programs or anything, just plug it in & click on update... . you are done. Awesome box!!!!!

You may well be the beginning of a disgusted stampede of 2nd generation Smarty owners headed in that direction... :-laf:-laf

Not me. I'm perfectly happy with Smarty. On #9 I get virtually instant spool & more power than I can use. The Quad box may end up working out a little better in competition situations but for me that would only be expensive bragging rights.
