Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Quick Oil Question

i have searched all the forums looking for a good pic of the wire tap hookup, of course i have yet to find what im looking for. here is what im trying to find out.

i removed my ez from my 98. 5 and installed the comp. hooked it all up and everything looks great but i dont notice the major power gains over the ez. i hooked up the tap for now as i want to solder but time was an issue yesterday. i feel pretty confident i hit the right wire but like i said im not impressed with the performance.

does anyone have a picture of which wire it was?

i know there are two side by side at the top, i hit the one closest to the block but im not sure that is right. if i turn it off it makes a difference in power so it is doing something but im wondering if it is duplicting the ez like it is set on 1 or something.

i guess after reading all i have on the comp i just expected a night and day difference. my fuel pressure is 14 running down the road and have 108k on the truck.

thanks ahead for any help you guys can provide

The wire closest to the block is the correct wire, used to have a comp on my truck. check out www.haisleymachine.com for an "injection pump lid" this replaces the stock lid, and uses a set screw to pierce the same wire, but inside injection pump. this is a much better method than "tapping" the wire

thanks guys, i assume when it is working the comp is a noteable improvement over the ez correct. im hoping that the connection is just bad, i felt the boost come on sooner it appeared but i even bumped it to 3-5 to see if ic ould feel any difference. no difference to me at all. ill try it when i get back to tx. thanks again everyone.
