Is there a difference between a Drag comp & Comp hot?

If so, What?

Thanks

Don

Its the same program..... the comp upgrade is the "Drag" & the edge juice upgrade is "Hot". Guys get this confused & call them all hot upgrade, but its the same on most parts. I have a comp for sale if you are interested.

Oh sorry..... To get your signature to appear..... Go under discussion forums & click on user control panel. Then click on edit signature..... fill in your signature. This is different than your truck profile.

My understanding is that the only difference is, the Drag does not defuel, where the Comp defuels at 2700 RPM.

The drag version defuels, but it does it at 3200 rather than 2700. It is only on level 5 that is affected all levels below are the same. level 5 with the drag upgrade has a better torque curve/powerband than the regular comp, though I have never seen a side by side dyno graph of a 24 valve to see the actual difference. I have asked for this before and only get the advertised propaganda no actual dyno graphs.

comp for sale?

I just got my Comp back from being upgraded and now the new serial # sticker they put on the back says "Comp Hot".

I wasn't aware of them doing this..... sorry.

I don't think they even know what to call the upgrade.

The sticker on the unit says "Comp Hot" I just looked at the invoice and it says Drag upgrade  . Who knows what they are thinking.

The upgrade costs $125 & well worth every penny.

But not until they fix their problem with the drag upgrade. I would hold off until they figure it out so you don't have to send it back again.

What problem are they having w/ the Drag upgrade? And what exactly is the difference? I saw the diffent chips advertised when I bought mine, and thought I remember seeing a warning on the Drag about not to use for towing and or stock vehicles. Am I misquoting, or what? Wondering where to spend my next dollar at, so any info would be great.

The only difference between a drag comp & comp is that the drag comp revs to 3200 before it defuels & comp defuels at 2700. The problem with the drag is that for some reason when you start the truck in the morning... . there is no power to the box. Meaning it won't turn on when it is cold. You gotta shut the truck off & back on before you get power.

i have the drag comp and it turns on in the cold every time ive had the upgrade for about a year and i will say its worth every penny. its got alot more bottom end in my opinion
