Guys i bought the CTS insight because i wanted to see what my engine was doing. I had/have no check engine lights but wanted to see if i could feel a difference when the truck went into regen mode. I did not install the EGT probe. (that will be later when i lose the DPF... ;))

Through the CTS I can see my trans fluid temp, engine turbo boost, pre and post DPF temperature, and lots of other features. With this CTS i can also tell the truck, while highway driving, to go into re-gen mode. I am amazed how hot the DPF gets! I have been running empty with no trailer and the DPF has hit almost 1200 degrees! That is some serious heat!! I was skeptical on how the cord attached to the OBDII port under the dash. . I was kind of thinking it was going to be a cord that went strait out like a typical OBDII scanner. The Edge cord has a built in 90 degree bend at the OBDII port so it is out of the way of your knees and shins! I rolled the extra wire up behind the headlight switch and used a zip-tie to hold the wire to a bracket. I was able to remove the side panel with the driver's side door open. What is also nice about this unit is that you don't have to run a separate power cable to the unit. It runs strictly off of the OBDII port!

I did have an issue with the CTS shutting off after about 15-30 seconds after i started the truck. . i thought it was a power issue. . i thought i may have pinched a wire somewhere or something came unhooked either at the OBDII port or on the back of the screen. . nope. tight as its gonna get. I called edge, they mentioned that i update the software via plugging the CTS into the computer, downloading Edge Fusion, and checking for the latest software. I did that, re-installed the CTS back into the truck and the CTS did exactly the same thing. . i thought for sure i must have gotten a bad one or something, so back to the phone with edge. I don't remember the fella's name I talked to, however, he said that some of the 6. 7 Cummins didn't like the latest software, so he helped me load an older version to the CTS through the Fusion, it took about 40 minutes for everything to be deleted and installed, on a good note the fusion software took care of everything all I did was hit "GO"

I re-installed the CTS into the truck for the 3rd time, now i have yet to see it shut off while driving. I am extremely happy with this product from Edge. I wrote them a nice compliment letter as well. Hopefully they will appreciate that!!:)

Same boat as you (except never had an issue with it turning off) and I love it. I especially love the fact that all I had to do was just plug it in. I recently bought one of those rear cameras for the license plate bracket. Will post how well it works later. Glad to hear you got the bugs out. One miss I have noticed and I have seen others comment on it, the mileage coach seems a little over zealous. At one point it told me I was getting 30mpg. Everything else was spot on.
