Ok I wrote the note about EDGE products being junk

and having bad customer support.



An update. I told you I also try to let people know when a company

does it right. Well EDGE did it RIGHT today!



They are going to ship me a complete new Juice with Attitude.

It is my choice to either install a complete new unit or just the box, or

the box and harness or any combination.



They are holding my credit card hostage until they get they old

stuff back and I am fine with that. Thats fair. :-laf



After talking to them for a little while I find out that the JWA is not

installed correctly! :eek:



So once my back heals up a little more I will

just remove it and do the job right myself like I should have done

from the beginning. When will I ever learn. :{



A few things that make me happy with EDGE right now.

They are sending me NEW stuff. So I know it's not my old box going back

getting checked out and being returned. I am more comfortable

with this idea.

Good to hear. I have ALWAYS had great luck with EDGE and their customer service. That's what I will continue to use/support there products. Keep up the GREAT WORK!!!!
 
i hope they do as well for all the other poor slobs whos trucks keep stalling out with the comps . at least they helped you AFTER you bought the much more expensive model and complained in a large public forum. i suppose they're all good now. whatever.

I better knock on wood or maybe I'm just a lucky one. Before I purchased the J/A combo I ran my Version 8 Drag Comp for years without a bit of problems. Unfortunatly there is error in everything and sometimes it's worse then others.
 
ive yet to see anything manmade that is perfect but the consistancy of edge customer complaints/loyalty is amazing. seems no matter how many times they screw up its all good !? i dont get it.
 
The only problem I've had with my drag comp, was one of the LED's stopped working. Not a big deal, but they replaced it no questions asked. Of all the boxes I have tried, I still like the Edge ones the best for all around use.

I don't know if I consider this good or bad customer service. I called to get a MAP sensor connector for an '01 to '02. I ordered it for about $38 over the phone. Waited 10 days to get it and it still hadn't showed up yet. I called Edge and the woman told me she couldn't find any trace of my order. So she has one being mailed to me at no charge.
Is this good or bad? Considering I have been waiting almost two weeks to try out my newly acquired Comp.
 
Haven't posted to TDR before, just enjoyed reading but now feel I must. My experience with Edge in a nut shell (for now). Bought the Edge J w/A first in March 06. It lasted 200 miles before the truck started coughing and throwing codes (have about 20000 miles on 4. 5 truck). Atitude quit working a little before that. Finally got it back to "stock" setting and made it home. Had dealer take it off, sent it back to Edge and they sent a new one in a few days. Thought it was good service at the time, but did not trust it on my warranteed truck. Left it in the box in until this spring and finally decided to give it another try. A certified diesel mechanic installed it but found it to be bad as well (no communication with #1 and 2 cylinders). Now I've had enough and said, hey, don't sent me another one, just give me back my money. Edge says "no deals". We'll keep sending new ones, but will not arrange for a refund. I have NO confidence in this product now but am stuck. Just want to let others know, you will not get your money back once you buy an Edge product! Just non-functioning product replacements. Anyone want a J w/A for a 4. 5 600 Cummins (new in box)?
 
I wonder if the replacement boxes they send to customers with failed units are refurbished ones that were sent back to them with problems to begin with. If I keep seeing posts like this, I might just go with a tst pm3.

You know, I think you might have hit on it! My original unit was a ver. 3. 1, the one I got back was ver. 2. 1. When I asked about it, the tech said "oh, sometimes when they re-flash them they forget to upgrade the version". I didn't think about them being old returns. Geez, sounds like fraud to me! Makes you wonder if the new owners are dedicated to big profits rather than customer service. I'm thinking if many of these get around they'll end up bankrupt, which would be well deserved. I've already convinced 3 other pick-up owners to look elsewhere for power/economy enhancements. Little wonder they refuse to give refunds!

A friend bought the Juice w/o Attitude for his '05 CTD. Upon installation(guy's a heavy duty diesel mechanic) the Edge quickly set off the CEL light and multiple codes. He returned it to Edge and received a used unit which was marked "reflashed for '05 Ca auto". It has performed flawlessly for two years now. He was dissappointed in the used unit,but pleased that it has done the job. I had one of the original EDGE EZ's sealed in resin on my '99,and it never missed a beat. I am currently running a Smarty and have had great customer service from Bob Wagner. Future updates should improve this product also.

I bought a comp on Ebay, when I got it it didn't work. It was an old one with BD's branding on it. I called edge and they replaced it with a nice refurb with the newest software. It works great.
 
Edge has been noting but good to me over the years. I bought one of the first 10 Edge "Power Edge" boxes from there first distributor (Nowell Thomas aka HVAC). I had no problems with that at all, then when they came out with the EZ I got one of the first ones Nowell had and had no problems with that box either. When the Comps came out I called Edge and asked about the possibility of trading both my boxes for one..... no problems, send us the boxes and $50 bucks and we will send you back a Drag Comp. What a deal... Then when I got the drag comp I had some issues with it. Called edge, they sent me another and a pre-paid shipping label for the bad one. That one worked but did not feel as power full as the original. Called edge, a new one shows up with another pre-paid shipping label. I have had that one for a couple of years and it never misses a beat. I have no complaints about Edge at all... .



Now I realize that they have gotten much bigger in the past couple of years and have hundreds of dealers instead of dozens but from the way it sounds they still stand behind there product.
 
I dropped one of the screws to my Edge EZ. My fault totally, I felt like a class A dumb *****.



I called to find out the thread pitch and they sent two new screws at no cost to me.

I called Edge about a intermittent problem with my Drag Comp. It would reset itself when I'd turn the truck off & all sublevels were at 3. Edge sent out a new Drag comp no questions asked. The box should be here Tuesday... . missing the power till then.

I don't see how you could expect a refund after having a unit sit in the box for one year. I agree with you being upset about your results from Edge but, how is Edge to know that you haven't used it all along until now and had issues and want your money back?

Sorry to hear about your fortunes, I know I'd be pretty bummed out about that also but I have never heard of a company to give a full refund after a year.

By way of a quick update, my dealer went to bat for me with

Edge and we reached a resolution that made me happy with

Edge and a continuing customer with this dealer! The Juice w/Att is a good setup, just couldn't make it work my particular truck. So I'm in the hunt again.
 
with all this talk about Edge i have one one my truck and i think its going out. the only problem is i can't find there info so i can call them or send it back to have it checked out. can some one send me there info? thanks Edwin
