Why do so many of their products quit working? Is it true their stuff is made in China?

so edge stuff breaks, Smarty has no updates and Quadzilla just made a box that's better,hmmm. the 2nd gen 24v just may have a new king. time will tell.

I have had the same Comp Box on my truck for about two years and have never had a problem one with it, all of the LED work fine, no resets and I have even converted from an auto to a manual and still run the same box. I will continue to use Edge products until things get way out of hand either with the service or quality. Andrew

Edge is now owned by MSD, and the products are still being produced in Ogden, Utah. As far as sending out refurbs for replacements, that is standard practice in almost every industry. They are in business to make money, sending out new product for every replacement can really hurt a companies bottom line, enough to possibly put them out of business!

Had a Comp for a few months now & only problem I'm having is it doesn't want to always turn on in cold weather without cycling the key 1-3 times... . Cold temps apparently affect the powering on. Once the cab is warmed up it turns on every time. Thin blooded I guess.

From another member who was in contact with them, they are now Beta testing a version 10 that is suposed to be bringing back the version 7 fuel curve and hopefully the reliability also.
