I know there are a few guys out there with the Drag version of the Comp box. Has anyone run both versions?? How about a dyno with both versions?? Any drawbacks to the drag version??

Edit*** I am getting one that is why it is in my sig, as a matter of fact it is on the way. I just want to know what other experiences are with it.

I have the DragCOMP-no experience with a standard one to give you a comparison though John. Aaron at Edge basically told me the only difference is the fueling in 5x5-it fuels fully to redline instead of tapering back at 2700 rpm like a regular COMP. Every other level (AFAIK including 5x4) retains the 2700 ceiling for full fueling.

Somebody jump in here and correct me if I'm wrong.

Comp and Drag Comp

I had the standard Edge Comp box then changed to the Drag version. I could tell no difference on levels 1-4 just like Jason says above.

The difference in setting 5/5 is very noticable, the lack of defueling at 2700 rpm is very evident. The engine keeps pulling stronger than ever all the way to 3200 rpm. What a rush!! :D

Note: the EGTs keep climbing to record levels too!

Haven't been able to stay in it long enough Greg to tell the difference from 2700 up-I'm waiting for a few more BOMBs to keep my EGT's down-plus my pyro is still post-turbo (installed before I started BOMBing when I had decided that an EZ was all I was gonna do  )so I don't run much over 1050F for safety's sake... ...

I just went from a regular Comp to a Drag Comp. Noticable difference! Truck pulls strong all the way through, pulls harder as well as higher rpm & talk about smoke!!! Day becomes night :D

Jerry - How are your EGT's in 5x5 at WOT with the B1?? I am still shopping for a new turbo and need all the help I can get.

You can definitely raise the egt's with the box on 5x5. Mine hit 1570 on the dyno. I've seen 1500 running from 0 to 115 mph full throttle on 5x5. I also have the auto housing for the B-1, faster spool up, higher egt. If you leave the comp on 3x3 or lower for towing and such, you won't have an egt problem. Highest I've seen on 3x3 was 1402, usually will hit low 13's.
