Competition Snow Performance Problems

i was at the edge dyno days today and what a freaken load of crap leting some one else run my pickup that has never driven it before thats a big load of B. S. we all know our trucks and how they preform ever dodge is not the same different gear ratios different spool ups different everything i want my money back just needed to vent thanks guys :-{}

You have to pay for the dyno days? I thought those were a club sponsored event or something.

I can't imagine dynos are cheap, and you can mess one up if you run the truck wrong... I can see why they had someone that knew what they were doing run the trucks. Plus figure if the guy is doing all the rigs, I'd think it would be a more accurate comparsion against the other trucks there.

get used to it. you won't find many dyno shops, if any, that will let you run your own vehicle. We have participated in many dyno events and the operator always runs the truck on the dyno.

I doubt it. They (the club) probably pay $XXX. XX amount to get the dyno there (assuming a portable unit), but the truck owners who run, pay to cover that cost. If they need a certian number of trucks to show up to cover cost (and they know that enough won't ahead of time), and not enough aren't going to come, the dyno day may be scrubbed.

cahammer-

I noticed the same thing at SDX. The truck owners didn't get to run the trucks either. I know WaynesWorld wasn't happy with his numbers either. He should be around 425hp+ to the ground, but he only got ~310 on the dyno. I watched both dynos, and the guys running trucks weren't getting on the skinny pedal all that hard.

We had dyno day in Minooka, IL earlier this year. We got to run our own trucks.

David Dunbar and Company ran my truck at SCHEIDS on his dynojet.

He did a great job as always!! I couldnt have ran it better myself.

How do you think you could run your truck better than someone who knows how to get the numbers out of a truck on a dyno? Especially when all they do is run Diesel trucks?

The numbers are in my signature.

Scheids Mustang dyno is usually on the low side. Mustang dyno's in general give out lower hp numbers and higher torque numbers.

It didnt take an expert to figure out the numbers were going lower on Scheids dyno than the dynojet.

The bad thing was that just watching the guys at Edge run the Dyno and the trucks that they haven't had much practice or they just didn't really understand how to do it right. (running in different gears, reving up really slow so you have almost no boost, etc) It was just a little weird to me. Maybe they were purposly making low numbers so you will want to buy their stuff? :-laf

at bullydog dog days of summer this year we got to run our own trucks all i had there was a #10 plate my exhaust system and my afe every thing else was stock i dynoed @ 326 rwhp at edge after all i have done in my truck wich is in my sig i only turned out 390 rwhp did my mods not make that much difference both dynos are in the shop floor no portable ones here and the cost was $30 at edge and if i remember right $40 at bullydog also at edge they only dynoed my truck in 4th gear from 30mph to 60 mph

The reason the numbers are lower is because of no correction factor add

about 15% to your numbers. They ran all the trucks in direct because of

speed limiters on the new trucks cut out at 108 or lower, I had no complaints

about my numbers I did not win anthing but it was a good event Oo. free

lunch good food. No charge for the drags what a deal.

As Lightmen said these was no correction factor at all on either edge dyno. Talking to the Edge guys it should have been 15. 8%. As far as letting everyone drive thier own trucks goes that would be a nightmare. It would really slow down the way things happen.

This is the 5th Utah Dyno day, it has come along way since the first year. We did like 32 trucks the first year and it was a dyno only event. I don't know what the count was this year but it was big!!!

I don't know, Bully Dog let everyone drive their own trucks and they moved them through one dyno pretty dang quick. And there were plenty of trucks there too.
