Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Edge EZ and AIr

I am new to TDR and have been searching the forums for a few days now. I want to start my mods gradually for Money reasons.

From what I have read the Edge EZ sounds like a good starting point but I am torn over getting a K&N or an ARE and what are the HP gains between the 2.







P. S. How in the hell do I change my user name?

Contact RPatton about a name change. I believe the AFE filters are more recommended than the K&N from what I've read.

I chose to go with the AFE drop in air filter. I just ordered mine a couple of days ago. There are all kinds of opinions on filters. I guess you go with what gives you that warm fuzzy feelin. :-laf I don't know much about the EZ, but I'm sure someone will chime in. On changing the user name put a post in the website forum.

On a stock diesel, there are not any noticeable HP gains by installing an oiled filter. AFE are a better quality and have better filtration than the K&N.
