Has anyone noticed the EZ's effect on their overhead computer fuel mileage estimator? I know that the estimator isn't the most accurate thing to begin with but after I added the EZ, my computer reads at least 4 mpg higher than it actually is. Use to be only about 1. 5 mpg higher.

The computor is programed for the stock equipment, adding a fueling box will make it be off due to the added fuel your burning.

Same thing on mine... my mileage just kept getting better and better with all the goodies on :D

Challenger, when the search feature is fully up again, you'll find a couple of threads about this. They mostly have to do with what the box computes. It looks at throttle position vs distance travelled. Doesn't take as much throttle position with a fueling box or injectors to move the truck down the road.

Basic math has me getting right around 17. 5 in town with my current config. (see sig) I'm very happy with that!

Comparing my calculated mileage with the estimate from the travel computer, without the EZ it reads about 1mpg low, with the EZ about 1. 5 mpg high. So it adjusted my travel computer's estimate up by about 2. 5 mpg.

Maybe we can ask Performance Edge to revise their box so it gives us more HP, and also calibrates the travel computer :-laf

Its not just the EZ that does this. Its any aftermarket injectors and any aftermarket fueling box will cause this scenario. On the highway mine reads 23mpg..... in reality its around 17. 5 to 18mph (75mph).

I think this is done on purpose so we can tell our "Better-Half", look honey ... . all these expensive parts make the truck faster... ... AND save fuel at the same time. :D

That's MY story and I'm stickin' to it. ;)

When I was looking at a Transfer Flow replacement tank I talked with a rep about the overhead computer /MPG features. He told me that they did not have any way in the "back door" to change the data to read 60 gallon tank instead of 36. I really liked using the economy feature but my mods have resulsted in the same porblems you all have described. It reads about 20 when I am really down near 17 or 18.
