Hi, I just installed the Edge EZ and the boost elbow. My question is does this install effect the MPG's on the overhead display? I found the display to be off by about 1-2 MPG verses actual calculations. How much (if any) will it be off now? I have not had the edge on long enough to calculate my mpg but for around town driving the overhead display is at approximately 19. 7MPG, this would be to good to be true. I thank all those who reply.

I dont know the specifics, but any box that adjusts fueling (either pressure or duration) will cause errors with the overhead, becasue the box is lying to the truck's computer for fuel delivery. I'm sure someone else will chime in with the details. Everyone always says hand calc if you need an accurate measurement anyway..... for me, who cares, it gets what it gets, I love the truck and it's better than my previouse 5. 9l gasser.

I installed an Edge EZ about 3 months ago. Mileage did improve by 2 to 3 mpg hand calculated. The over head indicates even better mileage. In August, with the EZ set on 4, I made a 1000 mile trip on the interstate up to Wisconsin. I was empty and drove 65 mph with very few stops. The overhead said I was getting 26 mpg. I hand calculated 21. 8. I'm very pleased with that.

When I had the EZ on my truck the overhead consistently read about 2 mpg better that I was actually getting (which was about 2 mpg better). It's a great box.

it seems to be a common problem. my overhead will read 2-3 miles better than hand calc. also, but hey, i'm still getting 22-24mpg(hand calc. )
