Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Edge EZ & Banks combo for ETH

I have been searching the threads looking for answers and I see that the Edge EZ and 275 injectors are the way to go with the ETH. I was wondering will the addition of a Banks Big Head Wastegate Actuator help keep the HX35W in the sweet spot without over boosting? I am hoping that the extra fuel from the 275's will work with the extra boost from the Big Head, but I do not want to complicate things by going beyond the capacity of the HX35W. I am trying to match parts wisely and still keep my mods modest.



Open to info on all possible combos, any experience and/or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I think you could just install a boost elbow in the wastegate line that will limit your boost to about 34 or 36 psi. You will get one with the EZ and it has instructions on how to do the mod. No need to spend the extra money on a wastegate from banks.

Forget the Banks

TaRussell: forget about the 'big head' banks wastegate.



If I were going to run 275 injectors and an EZ, I'd put a turnbuckle on the wastegate arm and disable it completely. Or put a boost elbow on the HX and screw the orfice screw right down.



You won't be putting enough fuel through your engine and turbo to spool up over about 35psi, and this won't harm your turbo, and is benificial to lowering your EGTs.



I was running BD stage 1 injectors and an EZ with the wastegate disabled, and rarely saw 35psi.



Save your money for your next mods. Do you have gauges? A fuel pressure gauge in the cab?



Be carefull: you are toying with the DarkSide!! Bombing is Contagious!!
