Have any of you 2002 owners or Edge EZ dealers heard anything recently about availability of an Edge EZ for the 2002 Cummins? Any promise dates? Will it be a 2001 EZ with MAP connector adapters or an entirely new 2002 EZ box? What are they going to do for those of us who have already purchased an Edge EZ for the 2001 Cummins?

Edge is working on a solution as we type. It's probably going to be at least a few more weeks before they have the adapters ready. My understanding is they are making adapters. Hey, that could change, if they decide to go the other way.

I am anxiously awaiting the 02 version too.

If you want more power accept the fact that your waranty is void. If you try to say that you didn't do anything, you are just lying about the whole deal. That's just like people who get their DirecTV cards fixed to steal the satelite signal. Sorry if this offends anyone, but this is one of my pet peevs. If you do something, be proud of it. Don't try to cover up that you did it when you think it will cost. Everything has a cost.

Who Knows!

RustyJC,

I've talked to Edge a couple times with different answers both times. My most current information came from Fred Swanson when he called and talked to one of the head guys at Edge. I guess it's gonna be a few weeks before the new ones are available. When I called Edge they said they were waiting on a ordered 2002 truck then they would design a connector to use with the 2002 trucks. The guy I talked to sounded like it was gonna be a couple months... . hopefully the guy Fred talked to is correct and it won't be so long.

jwgary,

The law says they can't void your warranty unless they can prove that the installed item caused the malfunction yet they void them all the time without this proof. Your only recourse is to hire a lawyer and fight it which can be more expensive than the motor you're fighting over. The law says you don't have to accept "If you want more power accept the fact that your waranty is void". I for one don't want my failed alternator not covered because I installed a EZ. "Everything has a cost" sure it cost me $35,000 for a Dodge truck with a detuned Cummins engine. I think we've all paid the "cost".

Just my opinion,

Rusty,

I talked w/ Brett at Edge yesterday. They are waiting for the connector to be molded up and should have it done in about three weeks.

See you at the LSTDRally

Dean
