About 3 weeks ago my EZ went after 2 trouble free years , sent it back and recieved a new one (Props to Edge , owned it 2 years and they warrantied it)

Plugged it in and drove to work. Everything was all good. Got in the truck after work and the EZ was not working. I figured just a bad connection so the next day I cleaned the connections and added dielectric grease and plugged it back in. Well it isn't working.

Now when I usually take the EZ off (dealership) I undo my turnbuckle on my wastegate but this time I didn't , it's been cold and it is a pain to get too. I'm wondering if there has been any codes set and if there is the EZ won't work. How can I tell if there has been codes set ?

With the truck off, cycle the key to on, off, on, off, and then back to on quickly. Make sure you don't go to far hit start. The odo will display any codes. If you left the turn buckle in without the EZ, you may have set an over-boost code.

Unrelated to the Edge.

Check all your connections again, mainly the 3 prong dataport connection, and the jumper in behind the cover of the EZ.

Possible that you received a bad EZ out of the box, or you got someone else's return, but not likely.

Yup - I agree that code shouldn't have anything to do with the edge - just supplied it since it was listed...

BUT, looks like he tried the usual stuff - and it HAD worked when first installed...

Is it possible to bench test an Edge with a meter?

How about the data port connection on the OEM harness?

Might have a prong in the plug that got bent and is not making connection.

Looked at the plugs again and still can't find anything wrong.

Talked to Aaron at Edge and will be sending the box back and they are going to test that one and then I will see if it is the box or the truck.

Chuck, I had one of the two wires from the data link connector lose contact altogether, ended up taking the connector apart and recrimping the problem wire, been fine ever since. Give me a call, I can explain it better.
