They do have a secret stage!!

I got one of the boxes that didn't have the 5th and 6th level but come to find out it does have a 5th level that is equal to the old 6th level. If your pins look like this : : . : : : and you have one pin missing on the left bank I believe that is the newer box. So stage four looks like this : : . : X X and stage 5 (80 hp or old box level 6) looks like this : : . X : : ( X being the jumper) I get more smoke on level 5 then I do on six and can tell a S. O. P difference. I'll try and take a pic and post it later to so you have I have mine.

Higher then the recommended level from Edge. I've been running it for quite some time now with no problems. I guess that it effects some peoples relief spring with the psi being so high. I haven't heard of very many cases though. .

Old Level box?

Hey guys-

My box jumpers look like the below picture and I was wondering if this is an older level box or if the pin on the right side is broke off. I bought it used and don't think the guy knew how to change the jumpers (possibly broke that pin?) Will this still work on Level 5 or does is need both pins to complete the circuit?

Is the circuit board on the bottom of those pins or the top? With the circuit board on the bottom your pins should look like this

: : . : : : so all you need is one jumper on this one : : . X : : and just put the other one on the left bank of pins which is inactive. I can't remember if the missing pin is on the top or bottom but it should be on the left side with the circuit board on the bottom of it. Let me know if that helps at all.

to tell you the truth, I can't remember which side the circuit board was on, but I'm almost positive the missing pin is on the "active" side. The view I drew was with the edge stickers right side-up, not upside down. Also, I'm running the 70 hp setting and I definitely see a difference, in smoke and mileage. It looks like this right now... ...

: : : . XX

Thanks for the help!

I just bought one with a birthdate of 3/25/04 on the box for my father in law and it had the same missing pins as mine. It works great on his. Both of ours is missing one on the left set of pins. Turn your box upside down and try the setting that is shown on here and see if that works.
