I know the jumpers are how you change levels.

How many jumpers are there supposed to be?

Also, what orientation to get the 70hp level?

How about this secret level?

Thanks for the info!!

Do a search on edge ez settings and you will get quite a bit of information. I did just that a few days ago

Is this for the 600? I thought they were in cab adjustable?

The 600 is in cab, the 555 engines were adjustable inside the box with some jumpers you move to different pins.

stacking boxes

I have an 03 3500 ho. I have stacked an edge and a TST pmcr, i left the edge on the setting it came from the factory with and i run the pmcr on 5 and 5. yet i barely get a wiff of smoke from this truck. I have a new turbo from PDR to go on the truck but iwant to know how to get max power and lots of smoke out of this thing. Will injectors help or not? What do ineed to do.

someone correct me if I am wrong,

silver bullit: keep in mind that the common rail engines make lesss smoke for a given HP than the older cummins

I think i heard someone say that it would take a 550HP common-rail cummins to smoke like a 400hp 24v'er will...

I have seen a EZ with the TSTprmx on 6/6, and it was fast but was just a cloud, not an impression of a coal train

Yea that's sorta true Tom but have you looked at your truck with just the TST on like setting 7? There is definitely smoke there. Sounds like Silver has something fishy going on to me.

I believe the TST will not smoke as much due to the advanced timing and more of the fuel charge getting a complete burn. When I had the EZ stacked with my C3. 2 set on high my truck was an impressive smoker. With the TST and EZ, up to what my clutch will hold, no smoke just a screaming fast truck! I miss the smoke but the added performance and fuel economy is easing my pain in a big hurry.

If he has new TST program he will not get smoke till around setting 7

Oh yea, I hear they detuned them a little. Mine begins a haze at setting 5 and by 7 it's noticeably black.

Mine is 550+hp and your pretty close. A 400hp 24v can blacken a intersection but I can do the same thing with WOT at no boost, especially if I go to the higher levels (even if they dont make more power).

One sure way to make a ton of smoke with the TST is to use a big single charger. My truck smoked as bad as my 02 with Mach 6's then. EGT's were insane too though. Now with twins and tuned to the highest hp mine will make a decent cloud on take off (no boost) but be clean by 100' or so.

I was under the impression, that the hpcr engines did not have the fuelling capacity to make 550 hp?? what gives  I was told 500 was possible but not much more, now.

I'm nearing the max hp for this cp3 pump without doing other modifications. My goal is to do 600hp with the existing setup (slight tweaks here and there) before I do some customizing on the fueling system :) .

Nathan congrats on that dino run. You didn't smoke that bad. Piers seemed to smoke more he wished that he ran one run at 9-9 with his twins. It didn't sound like your pump was running dry. And the stock 48RE holding that Power wow Dodge is doing a much better job these days. BTW what did you get out at the strip, I was so busy riding in Opies truck I missed all the good run's

After speaking with Edge, this position now provides boost fooling only incase you are running injectors and tow or need to turn the box off. Nice to have a simple boost fooler sometimes. Too bad they don't show it in the instructions.

Tom,

I ran a 12. 83 @ 106mph in the only non bracket run I got to make. It's does belch some smoke when I load it on the dyno (the correct spelling :) just giving you a hard time) but it cleans up really fast unlike the older trucks. It'll make more smoke and egt on level 9-9 just no additional power. At the track it goes clean usually after I hit 20psi or so while staging and then it'll burp a small cloud upon leaving and clean the rest of the way. Once you get to the higher levels on the TST the hp doesn't go any higher, basically the pump cant keep up.

What!!!! A SECRET LEVEL? I have not heard of that. I have an EDGE unit on my 03 2500 quad 4X4 Laramie, it's a bute, and I sure do love the EDGE power increase but what can I expect from the level five setting is it risky?

??

I did a search and saw a post saying that only the right side pins are active. I guess on older boxes, but not mine.

Anyway, I tried X:: X:: the Secret level 5, and :D:D:D It works on mine. I just did a quick run. I've been using level 4, but will leave it on 3 most of the time from now on.

I sure do like the new power. I have been complaining how sluggish this beast is, and now it's got some pep. I'm happy :D:D

I'm still hoping to get to the point that the clutch won't hold the power, just like my 01. 5 HO Once I'm there, I'll get a new clutch and be happy..... well, for at least a little while :)
