Up until recently I had my EZ set on level 3 and it worked well.

BUT on my pursuit for more power

I decided to bump it to level 4. The truck has great low end (take off) 5-35 mph, but doesn't seem to pull as hard (35+) after it gets going. I am not sure if it is me or if there is a actual difference, but there definately feels like there is a loss (like the truck is running out of fuel or something). This is running WOT with no load...

I have changed the Fuel filter and there was no difference. The truck is a 04' ho, 48RE, with 8,XXX miles on it. everything else is stock. I have also put in some fuel additive / lubricants, but nothing changed.

Also for reference, I have never installed the elbow...

Are the torque curves on the box different with settings, or just bumped up a little (but the same curve)??? I am concerned that I am dropping the fuel pressure (just thought) but don't have a FP gauge to verify that.

Any ideas???

thanks

Dave

Without any live data to compare it too, maybe its the thrill of level 4 wearing off, and the need for Level 4+ setting in?

:D ;) :D I wish, but it was a instant change. On 3 it would break the tires loose in first and make them just barely scratch in second. ON level 4 it will break them loose hard in first and second, but at the end of second it falls off pretty hard. Not like a stumble, just like stock HP levels.

On level 3 it had a little less kick down low but continued to pull hard all the way to red line.

Anyone have simular issues with thiers?

Anyone????

Thanks

Dave

it would be interesting to put it on a Dyno. I have had no problems with mine. I keep it on 3 most of the time. Know any body with a GTech or similar portable puesdo dyno?

The EZ was put on at less than 1,000 then bumped up around 6,000 I now have 8,000 on it. Everytime I get on it, I want to set it back down to level 3, but everytime I open the hood i decide to try and keep it at 4

I have a nieghbor with a new chevy that runs pretty good, maybe I will take him on some back roads and have him run me with the different settings and see if there is a difference, not many dynos around here... .

I felt same thing when I went from level 3 to 4 although I noticed it when towing and all I did was run a bottle of injector cleaner through tank and within about 50-60 miles power was back

nope, done that many times but no difference... .

Anyone with a fuel pressure gauge and see a big difference in fuel pressure between the level 3 and level 4 settings???

Thanks

Dave

I run mine on level 3, and I run the boost elbow. I would definantly put in the elbow, helps with power, or so it felt on mine. I have not tried 4 except when it was first new due to no gauges...

I run mine on 4 when I tow and 6 all the rest of the time. No problems with power on either setting. Been running it for about 8500 miles now. I haven't even tried 3 or below to be honest. I took out the box the other day just to see how she runs and man am I thankful for the extra power it gives. I didn't realize how fast the egts went up until I got the gauges installed. I'm sure that I have ran it hotter then I should. So those of you that don't have gauges be careful.
