Edge EZ plug configurations???

I am thinking about buying a used Edge EZ and had heard that the plug configurations can be different for the different years. I have a '99... ... . will an EZ that is advertised for 98. 5 to 2000 have the correct plug to fit my truck? Is the plug the same for these years?? I know it changed for 2001. Any help on this would be appreciated!

I just installed an EZ and the directions read that the data link plug for the 98. 5-99 is a triangle shaped connector. The 2000-2001 have a flat connector. Compare your plug to the EZ and if they match, it should work fine.

Rumor has it that some of the '00 trucks have the flat connector. Your 99 has the triangle plug, no two ways about it. The EZ advertised will fit.
