Edge EZ settings

I was reading the info that came with the Edge EZ and it stated that you could set the box at level 0 . Any one out there have the setting for level 0? The manuel showes level 1 - 4 level 0 would be to turn off the box without disconnecting it. Talked to edge today and the tech could not remember the jumper setting.

I would think any setting other than 1-4 would turn it off... move both jumpers to the "holding" side of the board.

Does the EZ still boost fool in the "0" setting.

Talking to Edge it is not quite turned off makes about 10 hp and boost is close to stock

what have you done or not done so far with your edge.

just installed mine today and have been fooling around with the settings. I must admit, the power on 4 is rather addicting.

Got one a couple of weeks ago. Try level five. *smile* Level 5 is one jumper on the end set of pins closest to the center of the box.

you got me on that one. I thought 4 was the moon on that box.

the rear 1/4 panel sure does show the additional fuel being used!

The truck runs real crisp and spools like a Penn reel. Dont think I will worry about the level 0. Right foot will have to stomp the fire out when it gets too hot.

How does the Edge EZ work on a stock 2004. 5 CTD ?

Will the stock transmission be affected ?

It will work but not correctly, Its too much pressure for the 600. Dont do it.

I believe it will be about the same as the 03. The boxs are different between the 03 and 04. 5.

Are those level 5 and 6 settings for real? If so, why wouldnt the manual say anything about them? Any data on what they do?

Supposedly after a certain date of manufacture... setting 5 (or 6???) do not exist.

I have one of the newer EZ's and setting 5 does exist.



But it's a secret setting.



Another member can take credit for it. I won't name names.



FWIW I run level 5 on very rare occasions, since Edge felt the need to lose the 5 and 6 settings I don't feel right using it all the time.

Because they found it to cause problems with the return spring.
