Will an edge ez interchange from my 98 1/2 24v to a 2001 HO. Also, will it show as large a kick in the pants difference as it did in my 98.

Thanks

Yes and no. Yes, you can make it work, but you need to get an adapter. Edge has them for $25ish.

It should show an even bigger difference because the VP44 on the HOs is set to deliver more fuel, and the EZ stays with the stock fueling range, thus more kick over the non-HOs.

No!

The MAP sensor voltages are different.

The MAP sensor contections as well as the data connection is also different.

Not true. It shows the advertised gains on both motors. Unless your refering to peak horsepower only.

I only made about 100hp with the Ez and bosch 275's on a dyno so I assumed only about 50hp since the injecters add about 50hp.

Don't assume... ... ...

It will not add the advertised gains on the peak hp. The "gain" generally advertised is found in the lower RPM. 275's in the ETH add more then 50hp.

I agree and disagree...

As Kat said, the voltage is different.

My 01 HO made 267hp with just the 275's and 310hp when we plugged in the EZ.

This was on a BD Mustang chassis dyno.

I also had an AFE Mega Cannon and a 4" turbo back exhaust.

Dont be surprised if the clutch slips on the HO with this set-up.

When you did injectors only, was it without any form of electronics on the MAP sensor? IF the answer is yes then that is why you saw the lower number, I would be willing to wager if you hooked up a boost module only the injectors only number would have been slightly higher, and also if you have the graph I bet it dropped like a rock around 2600 to 2700rpm? And the other question would be did you have a baseline... ..... ALL dynos are different and will vary with the operator.

No baseline, sorry.

The only part of the EZ that was disconected when we ran the injectors was the data link. The MAP was hooked up, and the elbow was in place. It was pretty flat across the board.

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think the map sensor fooler works on the EZ with the data link unplugged? I seem to remember them saying something to that sort when the EZ was first released years ago, but I couldn't remember so I emailed Edge out of curiosity, I'll report back their answer.

FYI-- my HO clutch holds just fine with en EZ AND DD2 injectors.

I am sure it won't be this way forever, though. I couldn't slip it wfo in 6th pulling 6K# uphill-- i think it will hold longer than I used to think.
