Awhile back some of you may remember that my dealer loaned me an Edge EZ to try. It was actually from BD, the 4 position box. I had it on the top setting 80 HP. . Long story short I took it off and gave it back to the dealer. Now the factory speed eliminator is no longer there(supposed to cut out at 95 MPH). I was on the e-way friday and thought I would run it up. I got it all the way to 105 MPH and then I let off. No speed eliminator. . I hadnt installed anything on my truck other than that EZ prior to this. Mind you, I dont ever go fast like that, I like 0-80 kinda stuff. So its not a big deal Im just curious as to why the speed eliminator which cuts at 95MPH is no longer there. Did the EZ somehow erase that function? Now I have the Quadzilla Xzillaraider installed and loving it!

You can go 105 with any truck.

The speed eliminator should let you go about 120mph or better if you have to power to get there.

Are you sure you didnt defuel at the rpm rev limit? With 4. 10 gear can you get to 105mph without bumping up against the rpm rev limit?

I used this site to compute my numbers - http://www.streetrodparts.tv/wheel_calculator.htm

4. 10's in 6th gear (0. 73) with stock tire at 105 mph = about 3235 rpms

3. 73's in 6th gear (0. 73) with stock tire at 115 mph = about 3224 rpms

If you could get the ECM to let you go to 3800 rpm - 136mph

PS - the autos get a little more mph with the . 69 O/D

Why before I installed anything it cut out at 95MPH and now after the EZ was installed then removed can go to 105 and beyond. Doesnt make sense. I know now with the xzillaraider installed I have to back out of it because the rpms are too high for me. I have got them up to 3500. . Where does the rev limiter come in? Dont these motors consistenly blow around at 4200 RPMS. What is the correct figure. I know for me, 3500 is way too close to that blow number.

my truck starts to defuel around 3300 - it falls on it face and stops fueling... .
