Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Edge EZ tow

I have a 2001 Auto with an edge EZ tow on it.

It recently started to kick out of lock up while driving down the road. I removed the box and the transmission works fine???

Has anyone had a similar problem?

NO PROBLEMS YET BUT HAVE ONLY PULLED THE ALPENLITE 29 ONE TIME WITH EASY TOW.

I had the same problem with my 98 after I put the Banks pkg. on it. The autos just can't hold up to the extra power.
