:) Something to remember here! Smoke is produced when you have more fuel and not quiet enough air flow. That's why when you romp on it and put the fuel to it, SMOKE. The turbo is working to catch up with what you want to do. If you roll into the throttle at a measured rate, then smoke will be minimal because the turbo is moving the air to match what your asking for. I can leave my Comp on 4x3 and run with very little smoke, as long as I let the turbo spool up at a measured rate. Then again, if some one is right on my bumper and I don't want him there, I'll push all the way to the floor. :D Puts distance between me and him and lets him know that he's too close. ;) The EZ is the same way. 3 levels of performance. Level 3 puts the most fuel to it. But you still can control the smoke if you let the turbo come on at a measured rate. have fun. :D

EZ timing only

I read a post that someone bought the timing only version of the EZ and it had 2 jumpers on it. He said Edge told him it was the same EZ. I do not remember where the 2 jumpers go. Edge could tell you.

Very important... As Dr Kayak said watch the transmission at low speeds in OD with light throttle. As you accellerate, watch the tach and make sure that the tach doesn't show rpm jumps without any speed gain. This usually means that the trans is slipping some. Not good! When I have mine on my truck,If I want to accellerate, I press into the throttle more as this adds trans pressure and no slipping.

If you want to save your transmission, lock out the OD below 50 mph. You need to keep the rpms up to keep pressures up. I usually try to keep my rpms above 1500.

I always drive out of OD until at least 55mph and when pulling at least 60mph. This is good advice if you have the 3. 54 gears.

The EZ has three settings, you adjust them via the jumper behind the back cover. There is no timing only setting on the EZ.

The True Torque Power Module sold my Diesel Dynamics is a rebadged EZ that contains slightly different programing and it has a timing only setting.

The EZ is also rebadged as the Western Diesel Turbo RPM module, the Super Chips module and several others. I have no idea if they contain different programs and setting options but they are made by Edge for the vendors.
