Recently My brother purchased the Edge EZ for his new '06/6-spd dually 4x4, and my nephew bought the same box for his '05/6-spd 4x4, both are complaining about a hesitation at high cruise speeds, say like 75 mph and up, both say that their trucks act like they are hesitating slightly, but noticeable. Anyone have any idea what this may be? They both have cold-air intake systems and straight piped exhaust(even removed cats)Everything else is stock. They say trucks don't do it on level 2 or 1, only doing this on level 3. I think the lift pump can't keep up with the cp-3 needs and maybe being drawn down to 0psi, and they need to install aftermarket fuel pump. Anybody's ideas welcome, thanks

My 2003 did it with the EZ on any setting with stock tires. Not noticable with 315's or with trailer. My belief from what has been posted is the extra power, ecspecially with cruise, the truck surges as it can't feather throttle light enough... .

They didn't say if their cruise was set or not, only when they were using their foot, but I will ask about the cruise as well, your truck do this without cruise control or with or both?

My truck does this with the Bullydog Downloader on the extreme mode, which uses pressure. I suspect it is, as lawdog said, the truck can't feather the throttle light enough. Bullydog didn't have much of an answer, other than to tell me that's just the way the box is. Running cruise is more noticeable, but it still does it with my foot. I just don't worry about it.

I have mine set on #1. I have not noticed any problems pulling our trailer. I only had it set a 2 and 3 for a short period of time. As a result I didn't notice any change. I did notice a little surging when I was not pulling the trailer at about 85 mph. I normally don't pull my trailer at 85... . that is a little to fast for 20,000 lbs. I have had mine on the truck for about two years.

My truck on all 3 settings is as smooth as silk. :)

I agree. have mine for over a year. Runs awsome. Level 1 is stock, level 2 is nice, level 3 is really nice. once you have these(325HO) engines at/or above 2000 rpms they are in their sweet spot. I would check your fuel filter just to be safe you aren't starving the fuel system. Filter is about $20. If that doens't help call Edge or post what you have done to trouble shoot. The TDR is great for helping other members.

Good luck.

My EZ has worked flawlessly for over 150,000 miles on all 6 settings. I've had it since February of '03 and never had a problem with it, although my relief vavle is now starting to dribble a bit  I've got a Quad Race box on it's way and probably gonna sell the EZ though.

This may be due to the 4. 10s.
