Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) edge ez ?

i have an edge ez for my truck,it is a solid unit like the size of a pack of cigarets and has only two hookups. my question is why do i see people post topics about the edge ez as being adjustable,whats the difference?or are they both called edge ez?my edge ez cost about 400. 00 is the other one a lot higer or what?and what does it do?is it a lot more powerful? mine is about 50 h. p. and a 100 lbs of tqe so i was told. thanks

I can't remember exactly where on the box it is, but there is a little switch that has three positions. You can set it to fuel harder with lower boost (smokes more) or set it to not deliver as much fuel until the boost has built some (smokes less). The settings don't change the power, just how hard it comes on. Hope this helps.

You would have to take the box apart, and there are jumpers inside the box

There are two small allen head screws on the end of the box. Remove these & take off the end plate. There are three positions for a small jumper clip. With the circuit board down. the position to the right gives maximum fueling at low boost. The middle setting reduces low boost fueling slightly & the position on the left reduces it a little more. Reducing to fueling reduces the puff of smoke produced right after the throttle is opened rapidly. It's pretty simple to do but the tiny parts are easy to drop as well.
