i have an 05 with the juice w/ att. and i am fixing to get the hot version. has there been any problems with them

I just had My Edge J/A updated, pretty much same setup as yours, but I replaced the stock plastic ended intercooler with the Banks cooler/highram.



From what I have read, the "Hot" pretty much moves all the power settings up one level, with level #5 being the new highest power level?

Not sure what level it is, but from what I have seen, The EGT temps climb really fast with the stock turbo, so I'm not sure how usefull it is unless you have upgraded the turbo?

Levels #1 and #2 fell pretty good, and I had no problem with EGT temps towing my #9,000 trailer the other day. I was impressed with level #2, actually barked the tires taking off from a light while towing the trailer.

iam going to put a new tourque converter befor i change it. my stock one is sliping like hell alredy . wat kind of o-60 timees do u get

I have the 03, but we got the Hot juice on it. Instead of levels 12345 of the juice, you lose the first level, and get one more on top. The new 5 is very strong, huge difference I thought between the old 5. Theres a lot more smoke if you want it too. :-laf I did get one code last week on 5, but I was racin a Ferd and was at WOT for a while. You will need the torque converter, 5 is worthless w/out it. As for 0-60, it depends on launch technique, I saw 6. 8 w/out building boost, could probably break 6 at this altitude. I'm lookin for a turbo to get the most out of the box too, the stocker does heat up quick.

yea as off right now my stock converter doesnt even want to lock up . it is screwed . i am getting one this week. i have been looking at the high tech tubos. what do u think of those?

:--) Wow, I'm not sure if the 305/555 motors get that kind of treatment. I had thought that ours was 150/350, but I'm hopin its more like the 05's. It does feel much stronger than level 4, so maybe it is that strong. As for turbos, I'm just startin to look, really depends on how you're gonna use the truck.

I'm happy with my setup for now.

Next step will probbably be torque converter, valve body, and the lockup computer thing for the transmission.



I think before I add more power I should get some head studs?

edge says 150 and 400 is the power, and you know edge is very conservative, i have seen more than they advertise on the dyno!!

Yeah, the Hot juice was hell on our transmission before we got it built. I think Bigbob dynoed at a shade under 500 hp w/ the hot juice and I think a B-1, with a pretty heavy truck too. Would an aftermarket turbo (turbos, I've been checkin out Arctic Airs Twins) make a huge difference vs. the stocker? I know 28 psi is not nearly good enough, and I know I'm losin hp w/ the stock turbo, but how much? I guess a fuel system would round out the package.

Last year I dynoed my truck with only the Stock Edge and AFE Stage II intake, everything else was stock (stock exhaust with cat, stock intake, etc), and on level #5 we got 439 HP and 831 ft/lbs torque. The dyno guy was impressed with the numbers for only the two mods. Trying to get a good dyno run at that level was also not the easiest thing, if I rolled into the throttle too fast the tires would spin on the dyno



I'm hopeing the new exhaust and intercooler/high-ram will put me around 450+ HP? Maybe more with the Hot juice?



It seems like the Dyno Jet chassis dyno dosen't load the engine as hard as when your actually on the street? It seemed like the EGT's were lower on the dyno, than what I see on the street?

i hope it helps mine out before i lifted my truck i was getting a 6. 8 o-60. then my box screwed up a they sent me a new juice. now i cant get under a 7. 8. somthing isnt right . that is why i am trading this one off again . but i am gonna get the HOT version
