Anyone have pictures of their installation of the CTS. Ran A-Pillar gauges on the last two but do not want to cut the Grab Handle on the "14". I had hoped to use the CTS A-Pillar Mount but when I asked the Geno's representative I was told that they thought I would need to remove my existing Grab Handle. Any pictures of the installation will help if I decide to use one of the other methods.

Thanks in advance;
Scott

Google "CTS MOUNT CUMMINS" and youll get a lot of pics. I am still using the suction mount and am happy except for the leveling feature. The suction mount does have some movement which messes with the accuracy of the grade and level features.
But I was told by Edge that the pod was an over-lay and did not require that the grab handle be removed. Just that the top screw does need to be attached to the pod. The grab handle is a daily use item for me and I like it.

You do not have to cut the grab handle or remove it. The mount slides right underneath the handle over the existing pillar. I don't have pics tight now, but I can get them after work.

Thanks TB & TRAMPLINEMAN for the replies, this is what I needed to know. The pictures appear to be the same as my interior and I too use the Grab Handle on a daily basis.

I wish you guys would quit posting pictures of all this cool stuff........I am trying real hard to leave this truck alone......:-laf

This is the only thing I've done to the truck. It's got so many options on it it's well worth $400.

That's what I keep telling my self............I will get one of these. I'd really like it just for telling me when the truck is in a regen if nothing else. The functions are impressive.

When I first got mine, I didn't read the directions of course. I just scrolled thru it and set up the gauges how I wanted them. About a week later, I'm driving along and glance over at it and see a red circle with an R in it lit up at the top. I thought immediately, *•€^*^ #~*£ •*£€!!! Something's wrong with the truck already. A while later it's gone, perfect. Happened again about a week later. I'm not happy again. I tell my wife I think something is wrong with the truck. I explained it to her and she says, well, did you read the manual? Ah, no. Why? She says, if you would have read the manual you'd know the truck is in regeneration right now. Boy did I feel stupid!!

Tramplineman, Are you still under warranty? Just wonder what they (dealer) might say. Thanks for posting. I'll remember this one.

Now you have me interested!! Will it show turbo boost in an analog type readout??? I am an old fart and do not like having to read a number.. Just a glance to see where the needle is.. Where do you wire it in and how do you route the wires???
Thanks from a big dummy!!

I did not know that either! Always just set it to either show the regen or on the the Ecodiesel it shows miles since last regen or % soot mass in the DPF. I bought my Edge for my 2011 Cummins, sold that truck and now swap the Edge between the 2014 EcoDiesel and 2013 Dually as needed. It's the same mount and color matches the pillar.

You can show any of the read-outs in digital or analog format. Plugs into the OBD II port, entire install takes about 3 minutes.

Yes, still under warranty. I have 17K miles on the truck and warranty is good till 125K miles. I just had the truck at the dealer last week to have a new hose installed for the power steering. I asked them to do the fuel gauge reflash while I was there. The service manager asked if I was sure I wanted them to reflash it being I have a programmer installed. I laughed and told him that it's not a programmer, it's just gauges to help me monitor whats going on with the truck. He says, oh, good idea.

Thanks, BUT I said i am a big dummy with these new fangled electronics!!! What and where is the OBD II Port??

The ODB port is the little black rectangular plug under the dash on the drivers side right about where your left leg would line up with the dash. If you stand outside the door and lean over, you'll see it mounted right under the dash. It's the same plug the dealer plugs their scan tools into.

Sorry about that Brocky but Tramplineman has you covered. The cable from the Edge to the OBD port will tuck nicely under the rubber weather stripping that touches the side of your dash, and the excess cable can be tucked behind the left kick panel, beside the emergency brake pedal. To do this you'll need EDGE INSIGHT CTS (color touch screen), EDGE 98003 CTS ADAPTER KIT, and EDGE CS/CTS A-PILLAR MOUNT.

I ordered mine from Geno's in 2011, and had to update it on the Edge website to use it on the 2013 and then the 2014 model year trucks as new models became available on the Edge. That's another good thing about the Edge, if you upgrade to a newer model truck just update the Edge online and you're all set.

Patty and Tramp

Thank you for this valuable information.. I know where to look and know what you are talking about now.. I take it that this EDGE is not a programmer which changes any settings, JUST a monitoring devise??? LIke I said above "I am an old fart" who, after 45 years of driving tractor trailer, is used to many analog type gauges and my eyes/brain are trained to see "Normal" with out any thought process, or even consiously looking at at the gauges.

Tramp
Did you buy the A pillar mount bracket new with your 2014?? Geno's show the mount for 09 to 12 and nothing for the 14?? are they the same???

Thanks Brocky
