I just inquired about the Edge Juice for the 2006 Cummins, and I promptly received a response:

"We are currently working on the 06 Dodge Cummins, with the changes

they have made with the injection system we will be redoing the Juice

box. We plan to release as soon as we can but I do not have an exact

date of release possibly late fall depending on development time. "

Does anyone know of the changes? I missed this if this was previously discussed.

I'll be impatiently waiting...

I've been researching the same thing. I believe Dodge got rid of the data link connection on the '06's which was one of the required plugs for the Juice, so Edge is having to rework a few things.

That's what I've had 2 people tell me anyway.

Edge told me the EZ is 2006 compatible though, but I'm trying to hold out for the Juice myself.

Jonathan,

Welcome to the TDR. I see it's your first post.

I'm at least glad to hear the EZ is available, and I too will do my best to hold out. So since the DLC is not there, does that mean that other systems (including downloaders) that don't depend on the DLC will work? I believe that the injector connections are different; do you know if this is true? I don't have access to a pre-2006 to compare.

Injector connectors are different, yes

As for the downloaders working, The data link that Bullydog (downloader) uses is still there in the cab by your knees... BUT the software is different on 06's - I cant use a DRB3 on an 06, I have to use a $10,000 "Star-Scan" (that thing is about as close to a laptop as you can get!)

I thought I read that somewhere, but I wasn't sure. But, if the Star-Scan system is similar to other diagnostic systems (such as the Honda HDS), then the software can be configured to work on a laptop. We just need to find someone who can do it. And then we'd need to get the updates. Oh well, that's wishful thinking. But I'd bet that it is possible.

By chance, do you know who the manufacturer of the Star-Scan is?

The laptop idea is a good one, And in the future seems very possible

BTW - the star-scan says on the back "Diamler Chrysler" - so who knows who made it

I bought the juice with attitude for my 2006 Dodge last month. After a couple of days I noticed the attitude monitor/controller would lose its memory (custom configuration the user sets, alerts, power setting and an annoying series of discalmers the user has to accept upon start up. I called Edge and they said they knew of the issue with the monitor, they sent me a new sw version and it seems to work.

I started really getting on the truck and I noticed that the truck was hesitating and seemed to be knocking. If you eased the truck around town it worked fine, it was only when you got on it the problem occurred.

I called Edge again and the first thing they asked was when the truck was manufactured. Mine was built in July of '06. Edge said those trucks made after June/July had different factory programming and there was new box just for those modles (early and late '06 use different Juices's). I was instructed to pull everything out (Juice and Attitude, becaue only monitor won't work with new Juice), and return for an exchange.

Jeesh, I which I would have been asked about mfg date prior to being shipped my first juice/attitude. it would have save me a lot of install time.

I love Edge performance (since only truck with comp), but they are trying my paitience.

You'll like it when the right year edge model comes in. I have it on my 05. I love it. I believe the 06 has a turbo timer and reads transmission temps. My 05 does not have that on the monitor. The only complaint I have.

Just remember the first five starts you will have the disclaimer pop up. After that you will not see it and all your parameters will be set to whatever you put them on.

firemans..... check into it. I heard Edge just released upgraded turbo timer software for your truck. I believe the cost is $30 and you have to send the attitude in. Well worth it imo.

for the $$$$ the edge cost now I would get a smarty and a quadzilla comander and have a better setup that the edge. I know the smarty works on a 5. 9 07
