Edge Juice w/attitude or Smarty 06 5.9L

I think I have searched and read every post about both of these but I would still like to hear from people who have purchased either one or both and what they feel is money better spent. 06 5. 9L, 35K, auto, mega 4x4, afe stage 2, 5" exhaust no cat, 3. 73 gears, no gauges. I only have a certain amount of money to spend so I can't have both. I pull a 7-10k 5er half the time I drive it and the other half is long trips empty, I would like a little better mileage of course. And if someone could explain to me what they each do that would be great also. I have read the edge is fuel pressure and the smarty is timing and boost, please correct me if I am wrong

I had both a smarty and a Edge Juice w/attitude on my 07 5. 9.



For all out seat of the pants go really fast for racing the Smarty is better.

For controllable power and EGT for towing, the Edge Juice w/Attitude is better.



I personally bought this truck for towing, so I sold the Smarty and kept the Edge and am happy about it.

I've had both units and I think Sean hit the nail on the head in the previous post. I had the Edge for about 40,000 miles and it performed flawlessly. If you don't have any gauges the Edge with juice module would be the way to go but I think you could buy the SMARTY plus a EGT gauge for the price of the Edge unit. I really enjoy the SMARTY programmer, much more get up and go but like you I have an auto who's not real crazy about the unit. I don't think you can go wrong with either but I would have to say Marco and Bob's customer service is second to none. Happy Shopping... . ROB:-laf

I also have both units, i would like to add that on a mildly modded truck the hot juice seems to be a little quicker and the truck seems much happier than with the smarty. The smarty does have much better low end response and seems to be the more powerful program, especially with the increase in rpm and potential for other updates later. To sum it up in my opinion if you want the most powerful/faster truck and you have plans for future supporting mods the smarty is the way to go. But if you tow, don't like smoke or just want a more streetable daily driver i think the juice is a far better choice and with the addition of the hot version its pretty quick to.
