5" exhaust questions

Rip's 4" Exhaust

OK, so I AM the world's worst mechanic...

How on earth do you disconnect the FRICIN connector?????? I tried squeezing it, no dice. I tried prying it the other way, no dice.

So now the little tab is broken off, I can't get the frickin connector off, and the "5-min" install has not going well.

Why do things always have to make my life more difficult than necessary???

Please help!!

Where is the other little 3-prong connector?

Never have I felt like such an idiot...

For the MAP connector - pull up the red locking tab. It still won't disengage unless you squeeze the outer end of the MAP connector while you pull - there's a clip that slips over a tab on the MAP sensor. If you want to practice where you can see what's happening, the wiring harness connector to the 7-pin plug on your trailer hitch receiver uses the same type connector.

To find the CANbus plug, run your hand along the wiring harness low on the driver's side of the block. Just ahead of the fuel filter, you will probably find the 3-pin CANbus connector tucked between the harness and the engine block.

Hope this helps,

Rusty

EZ Install

I installed my EZ not to long ago. Look at your plug on the EZ. It has a tab on the side, same as the one connected to your block. The tab on the block is red on mine That tab on the block i pushed down with a small screw driver. The Can Bus or the flat plug is just below and in front of the fuel filter. It has a plug in it to keep moisture out. You have to remove the plug.

Hohn,

Don't feel bad, I had to call Fred Swanson, who, while on vacation, walked me through it step by step. I am just a big of an idiot as you.
