I run a KSB1B and do not wastegate it. I run a Comp to be a boost fooler, and it is generally turned off.

Bob, the boost elbow is the little brass fitting that directs the charged air to the wategate actuator. If you are not wastgated you don't need it. The Comp will act as a boost fooler even turned off, if I remember right.
