Manual Transmission Filter Source?

Mopar lube filter at Wal-Mart? $9.99?

Ok guys, Christmas Time, which means Xmas Bonus and new goodies for the CTD... . I currently have the SuperChips programmer and want more. I'm tossing around the Edge Juice with Attitude, Edge Comp and The Smarty. I basically want a relaible box, something that will not give me much problems and wont be "obsolete" in a year(might have confused you here). I need to pick up gauges also. I already have a Fuel Pressure Gauge. I want yalls honest opinion from those of you that have run these boxes.

So far Juice with Attitude has my #1 vote since you get gauges and everything in a decent package price.

Thanks yall

Rick

You'll get replies all over the map on that one - for me, the Edge Comp/Smarty has been a great combo that allows me awesome power range, fully adjustable from the driver's seat at the push of a button - all the way from around town empty, to fully loaded RV up a steep mountain grade.

I have a comp box and am very satisfied with it, but the juice would be the way to go since you get more bang for your buck. If you want to have a definate answer on which one to buy go out and price everything separte with the comp and all the gauges compared to the juice and you will have your answer. Also the smarty is awsome when stacked with the comp or juice.

hands down bang for the buck is Juice with Attitude... . But I'm more interested in the "user's" Thoughts on each unit, more then I am interested in $$.....

I run the comp drag box on my truck and really like it zero problems in 2 years. Excellent drivability in lower levels with big injectors and lot of fun on in the big settings. I have install several J/A in trucks and think they are an excellent choice with all of the features built into it. Especially if you have not purchased the gauges.

As for the smarty I have one for my truck and used it for a short time with and without it stacked on comp. There is no question it adds fuel at lower level than comp. Make truck feel much more responsive. But, I did not like the way it made my built transmission shift and when sled pulling the top end power was not there with the stack. I have also installed it some of my buddies stock autos and on the lower levels actually helped trans to shift and ran well.

Hope this helps in your decision.

I've had both. I had to sell the Smarty to buy the Juice but for me it was the right choice. The on-the-fly adjustability with the attitude monitor was exactly what I was looking for. Don't take this as a knock on the Smarty, the Smarty is very nice. In a perfect world I would have kept the Smarty and stacked it. I can tell you, however, that I am a happy camper with the Juice... . :D

The Juice is the way to go... . gauges,protection,1/4 mile times, egt shut down. If you tow daily like me... Smarty is hardcore for getting the trailer moving, but the juice is gonna get you down the track! If I weren't towing daily..... I'd go juice.

sounds like juice is the ticket... I like to get off the line, but what good is something if it cant take you all the way... .

Rick

The Juice will do all you need, and next x-mas you can always stack a Smarty with it! :D I'm thinking about it myself... :-laf As far as performance, I can tell you the Juice made a big difference in s. o. p. I only did one test with the monitor before my new turbo and that was 9. 5 0-60 with some extra baggage, a weak turbo, a full tank and not the best launch. After the Aurora went on I dropped to 7. 4 0-60.

I would check to see if a hot juice will work with a smarty... I have a buddy that we added the Hot Juice to his truck and it dont like level 6. It runs fine on any of the other setting on the Edge box with the smarty execpt level 6. From what I am told. . the smarty is adding timing and so is the hot juice and once it gets tooooooooooo much it goes to dead pedal. Once he releases the pedal a little the power comes back. At first we thought it was fuel pressure but its not... fuel pressure does not drop below 12 lbs. If he removes the smarty programming the edge level 6 works...

So far no one has been able to give us a reason why its doing this. .

Rick

I've already thought about the hot juice too... . What is involved to upgrade to that?

What kind of HP/TQ and 1/4 Times should I be looking at with the juice?? I know I'll have to kill me a import or two lol.....

Rick

The way it use to work is if you are TDR member it unlock code is free. Still have to sign the waiver but it does not cost anything...
